It makes sense... They seem to have $500k budgeted for our QB (which stepping back to think about that makes me want to vomit), so it's either for CMorris, or I guess they have to give it to someone.

It was reported that Chandler was offered $500k to stay. If he’s washed, as many say, and still offered that much to stay… I wonder what Poffenberger was offered?

The stats tell that part of story quite well. I'm not so sure about Mestemaker "proving" anything though. It's possible he earns the starting spot next year. He has moxie. But if he does, man I'm really pissed off if I'm one of the bigger NIL donors watching my money go to Pofferberger who'd be riding pine while this guy who's just happy to be on scholarship now is starting.

This was so frustrating because the guys defended that possession so well. Definitely the difference in the game. It was a dagger that could've caused the guys to fold, but they didn't. As you, and many others have pointed out, Wright & Jossell both going O-fer again is definitely not going to happen. On the flipside, I doubt we'll see Moulaye's performance again either. I thought Floyd played well.

We got our new QB in Reese Poffenbarger! Did you see what he did at Albany!?!?!? He's going to be great! Forget Chandler Morris!" 4a. "Mestemaker had an amazing game! He's going to be a great QB for us!!! Eric Morris is a QB Whisperer. ...Who's Reese Poffenbarger?" 4b. "We would have won the bowl game if Chandler had played!" 5. Morris’ system is a really good one. It makes the game easier to read for QBs. Therefore, easier for QBs to succeed. A true Leach Air Raid, instead of the Leach/Briles hybrid Littrell was running. Not saying Brophy isn’t a good coach. But we should see a QB who can put up #s as long as Morris is here. Now having those QB #s turn into more than a 6-6 record will depend on if we can find a successful defense. TBD…

So much myopia around here…. Like TXSt didn’t lose a bunch of dudes to the portal as well. And ever since Chandler entered the portal, all I’ve read about him is that he’s declined since the Tulane game & is broken now. We’re all fans here. Some of us would just like to see more & don’t care about excuses.

“Hand tied behind our back”? I assume you mean some of our players transferring out? … I guess we were watching 2 teams during it out with a hand tied behind their backs. They were hit by transfers as well. Our 1-handed team just wasn’t as good as their 1-handed team though.

This is not a flex, or a valid excuse. Who honestly thought Tulane was gonna beat a FL team that found their mojo late in the year & beat 2 ranked teams & their bitter in-state rivals in their last 3 games? Meanwhile, we’re stuck in neutral, losing to a SBC team. Nowhere better than we were on Jan 1, 2022 (admittedly, part of that is due to what pay-for-play & unlimited transfers has contributed).

Geology rocks. Yes. Go do all of that fun stuff whenever we play the dirty birds. They're already conference mates. Or, wait until we get our house in order (if we ever do) before we expose our a**es as inferior. Then, we can go down there & float the river/Schlitterbahn with the confidence that we'll also win the game.
