Poor UTEP and NMSU. Those two schools are easily within the MWC footprint but we all know logic isn't driving the realignment bus. -

I don't see how USF would think of moving to a heavily west coast based conference. You will inevitably have late game starts in all sports, especially on weekdays. This will be especially true for the main three sports, FB, MBB, & WBB. A 7pm PT start time translates to an 11 pm start in the eastern time zone. The PAC can promise to try to accommodate USF all it wants but for some sports (namely both basketball sports) such a late start is a high probability for weekdays. -
Why are some so high on Rice? Athletics are a distant second thought, as evidenced by the quality of most (all?) of their athletic facilities. I get their academics but honestly that is ALL they bring to the table.

Color me underwhelmed in the hire. 15-18 for the 2023-24 season, 105-100 PAC-12 record, and has never won any kind of championship in 11 years in the PAC-12? Sounds more like you did USC a favor.

Doesn't Memphis play in the same arena as the Memphis Grizzlies? A part of the situation might come down to facility availability. The women's and men's tournament is played over 9 days.
