I know everyone is excited about Dajon this season, BUT take a minute to think about what he, and this team, will be able to do his junior and senior seasons...

This is a talent that possibly hasn't been at been at NT before...he definitely has some developing to do, but could be a real deal talent...future looks bright

I'm disappointed our defense didn't play better. I am very encouraged by Dajon however. His mistakes are all correctable. He is going to be really good.

Yup. Going into Indiana and throwing 3 touchdown passes as a redshirt freshman. He did just fine. And Harris did great. We need some help in the receiving corp.

Burn Goree's redshirt. DW has shown me enough to believe in him Get him some WR help.

Terrell in my opinion is a blocking wr. kidsy drops too may passes. I really want to see Goree and Rutherford.

Should be considered. I don't even think he made the trip. It's also tough to burn a kids redshirt after almost half the season. I have a hard time believing that Goree wouldn't be our third best receiving threat.

This staff has shown the willingness to play freshman. Is Goree really ready? I would think so, but sometimes making the jump to a new level is harder for some guys than others.

Terrell is not even that. There was a play (I think in the 3rd Q) where he was supposed to block on a WR Screen to Harris. He let a DB about 30 lbs lighter than him shove him backwards 4 yards into Harris.

I remember that. Honestly I was trying to find a way to be nice.

QB mechanics.

DW shows a lot of flaws. This worries me. Well, not just that DW shows a lot of flaws, but all of our QBs do.

Concerning. Who is responsible for teaching QB mechanics, anyway? When was the last time we saw a QB at UNT that didn't have mechanical problems?

DW is a talent, but several of the wide open receivers he missed seem to be related to the above. Hope it somehow gets fixed.

I think DW did pretty good, let's see how he does against UAB. As stated by others, our defense was atrocious today. But for the most part, I feel like Dajon (besides the two turnovers) showed us he's the #1 QB for the mean green. Can't wait for next weekend!

He did some good things (a lot by previous standards) but he needs some help from his receivers. His second interception should have been just an incomplete pass if Terrell had turned into a defensive back when he saw the defender closing in on him. Dajon had a few bad throws but it could have been receivers breaking off routes.

He'll just get better and hopefully we'll have a solid quarterback for the next 3 1/2 years.

He's still just a RSF. Give him a little time.

Just like we can't praise him for how amazing he looked VS Nicholls, we can't kick him to the curb after today's game.

*& by a 'little time', I mean this week in preparation for what has turned into an early season crux game.

Dajon looks great considering how many reps he's had and his playing experience, definitely the right choice.

They need to get the ball in playmakers like Kidsy more. If the freshman Wilson isn't able to go, I would like to see Evans more. He looked great when given the ball.

The defense, well as I've stated many times before, Akkune is way overrated, the d-line is very young, and the secondary is fairly weak. They will come up and hit ya but the speed in the secondary is very average.

It's blatantly obvious the offense is more wide open with DW in there. He's definitely the playmaker we were all hoping to see at QB. The future is bright and the door is open for this young man. Let's hope he can stay healthy and lead this team for 4 years.

Think of that for minute. How scary could he be after starting for 4 straight years?????

How did DT not drive you absolutely insane?

I am extremely excited about the next four years with Dajon of course hoping he stays healthy. Yes he made a couple of really bone headed throws, but that's to be expected. He never looked flustered or overwhelmed and seemed to remain rather calm. Love the kid's foot work which will only get better and a lot of God given talent. Under the tutelage of Canales he will grow.

We need to get Wilson healthy. He needs speed in the backfield with him. I love Reggie as a person and attitude. But that poor guy looks like he is running in molasses. Jimmerson only looked a smidge faster to me. But him the backfield with a guy that has speed and watch out.

I love the potential this offense has. Let's just hope Dajon stays healthy and mentally focused

He did. Hence the comment about every QB having bad mechanics.

It's always all or nothing on this board (shakes head and sighs).

No doubt. Everyone just needs to expect inconsistency from DW as he finds his way this year.

And expect an open competition between him and Means next Spring.
