9-Game after bye week record since 2008: 4-5. 4 wins come against Sun Belt teams on the road. 6 of the 9 after bye week games since 2008 were played on the road.

I don't think it means a lot except for last year our offense skid in both games. I hope this is a ready to play offense come this Saturday!

but really, we are 1-2 in October, on the road, following a bye week...

so... not so much a mystery

but then again... we have never played in October, on the road, following a bye week... against a Non Conference Oppononent...

so... it's a mystery again

Those two games we lost after bye weeks last season were by far the most painful games of the season. We knew the stakes for both, we played teams we could (should) have beat, needed to beat, and the team came out and laid an egg in both. That is at least partially on the coaches I feel. This is a chance for improvement in that regard. Indiana just comes off tough games at Mizzou and vs Maryland, the weeks immeadiately after this game they will get Iowa and Michigan state. We are in a classical "overlook" spot and had a full 2 weeks to prepare ourselves.
