Rutgers? I mean, I'll be happy to play any team in a bowl but I'd like it to be one whom people get irrationally excited for. A Michigan for example.

Penn St.

Maybe even Maryland.

How many Rutgers fans you know in Dallas?

At this point, I just want a bowl game. I'll get picky once we can get to 7 wins.

With that being said, both of those would be solid. I can't even make it to HOD this year anyway, so I wouldn't mind seeing the team get a trip to the Bahamas.

Rutgers would be a fine opponent. They have a big10 tag on them now and it would be 5x more of an achievement beating them in comparison to UNLV.

I don't feel that way at all about Rutgers.

I think we're all going to have our own opinions on the pecking order of these mid-pack P5 teams, and even the power G5 teams... that's fine.

Really, the vibe I'm feeling from this week's game is about winning against them on the road. The next step in this program's advancement - more specifically, perception by media - will involve winning OOC games on the road, be it the UTs of the world, or Rutgers/UNLV. And not just once every 10 years.

In basketball you can get away with titles by only winning 0.500 on the road. I don't think that's the case in football, with rare exception. A team with championship aspirations knows that any loss - even ones on the road - can be devastating.

You're so right but when I read this I just die laughing in amazement. Here's hoping Brady Hoke ends up at SMU or any conference USA rival for that matter.

Brady Hoke is a good coach. As is RichRod. Just look at what they have done at their other coaching stops. For some reason, Michigan in recent years has turned into a hard place for even good coaches to win. I know Lloyd Carr was working to undermine RichRod all the time he was there; I'm not sure what's happening with Hoke.

The expectations for RichRod were probably too high, Hoke is just a bumbling moron at this point. His excuse for not taking out his QB last Saturday is indefensible. It's amazing to me that he did so well at SDSU but has completely gone off the deep end at Michigan.
