6'3" 235 lb defensive lineman from University Lab School in Baton Rouge, LA. Same school as 2017 phenom Dylan Moses and Les Miles' son. Transferred from Madison Prep Academy. Also plays tight end, and maybe is being recruited as a tight end. We have offered.

Transferred back to Madison Prep Academy and had a huge year. Apparently had 20 sacks. His size plus his speed off the edge makes him a great candidate to really blow up this recruiting cycle. But as of now us, La Tech, and Grambling are his only offers.

Wary of the Louisiana kids.

I'm more wary of the Louisiana kids that don't have any other FBS offers. Like all 4 of the ones we signed in 2012.

It's like people who never want to see the spread offense here again because of Dodge. It could, and would work here if we had a coach who also knew how to run a college program.

We had a bad experience recruiting in Louisiana a few classes back and now there's some trepidation about recruiting kids from there again. The 4 kids we signed in 2012 all didn't finish their careers here and never played meaningful snaps. But it wasn't because they were from Louisiana. They weren't legitimate FBS prospects, which is why they weren't offered by anyone else. They weren't FBS prospects, so it shouldn't be surprising that they didn't become legitimate FBS players.

Roach is completely different from them. Southern Miss offered, so he's already up to 4 FBS offers. He is a legitimate FBS prospect. I think he'll blow up and be out of our league eventually. But if we could land this kid somehow we would not have to worry about his ability like those other Louisiana kids we signed.

You are right, no one is, however there are kids whose talent and size puts him in a higher league football wise than we are in, so naturally he will want to play in the highest "most prestigious league." I don't fault a kid for that, if YOU don't like that then im not sure what to tell you. These kids give 5-6 years of their lives to the school they choose, I'll never fault a kid for wanting to go where THEY think is the best fit for them, for whatever reason. That's just me though.

Yeah, when these two kids have the best offer lists of all your signees then there are prospects who are out of our league. It's just reality.

When we start winning recruiting battles against power programs then we can make that claim, as fans. But it's not a bad mentality for the coaches. But if LSU were to legitimately offer then it'd be over. For a Baton Rouge kid. I love this kid's film and I do hope we recruit him extremely hard. If anyone could get this kid, it would be KP.

There is nothing wrong recruiting out of state or juco players. However, if it is done because you are not competitive for area recruits than there is a serious problem.

DFW is probably the best recruiting area in the nation, if NT is not getting a share of the better players; then this program is never going to achieve what it should. It is very rare for a G5 school to ever win a recruiting battle with a P5 school, but there is no reason for NT not to be ultra competitive with other G5's.
