The signs (#AskAsh & SMU sign) are created by the same Mean Green superhero, the #MeanGreenVigilante. He also made a sign for the UT game that read "no means no". You may also see him with a shiny sign that simply reads "my sign is shiny". He also seems to have a new look every week, which I like. You never know what to expect from the #MeanGreenVigilante, he's the wild-card of the #LegionOfMeanGreen

The Mean Green Maniac is also a card carrying member and a great guy. I'm looking forward to when these guys move over to the alumni side.

Alright, signing off. Had about all I can handle with the negativity on this board through the years. Y'all keep being miserable people and bringing others down. I'll keep making friendships, making people smile, and giving my all for the Mean Green. I'll be a nerd all day long if it results in moments like this:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>“<a href="https://twitter.com/UNTCompliments">@UNTCompliments</a>: Quote this with a photo of you at the game or tailgating! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoMeanGreen?src=hash">#GoMeanGreen</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BeatLaTech?src=hash">#BeatLaTech</a>” <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoMeanGreen?src=hash">#GoMeanGreen</a> <a href="http://t.co/Bi0F680B1x">pic.twitter.com/Bi0F680B1x</a></p>&mdash; #MeanGreenMan (@MeanGreenMan23) <a href="https://twitter.com/MeanGreenMan23/status/510426436977827840">September 12, 2014</a></blockquote>

MeanGreenMan, you just got to push through the stupidity on this board. Most mean well, if not all. I wouldn't take it to heart, people like boosting their ego with self served sarcasm.

I'm sure he's a good guy and a great fan. I personally think the Ash comment is over the line, but I'm glad to see his support.

I figured a superhero like yourself could handle a joke. Guess we found your kryptonite.

If anyone thinks this board is rough, wait until they try staking their claim over on the alumni side, what with all that spirit and enthusiasm. People out there will suck the cheer right out of him like a bad dream of death eaters from Harry Potter. Better bring your golf gloves, kid. You're gonna need it for your polite applause.

Meh. I guess it depends on your section. I'm fine with 106. We've got Mean Green Man, wrestler mask kid, and put-in-Cooper-Jones guy (Dr. Seuss). Thor stands proudly in our section through the whole game and people generally stand and get loud and rowdy on 3rd downs on defense and know enough about the game to not get loud when we are on offense in between plays. I'm good.

They are trying... There we were, Mean Green Man, me, my 67 year old father who came to his first UNT game that day, on the front row cheering and standing up and participating in the college football game time atmosphere for the Nicholl's St. game when the ticket wombles come down and ask us to tone it down a bit... Very disheartening to know people are complaining because someone is at a college football game cheering on their team like so many through out the country at other stadiums do. No worries though, can't let them get the best of you, I'm not that old yet.

Seriously?

Y'all had to be using cuss words, right?

Nope. Mean Green man doesn't cuss, I was with my father and there are children in ear shot. I may be a bit loud sometimes but I am definitely more respectful than to drop a bunch of bombs around someone's children.

In the old days, it was definitely like this. I remember the first year I bought season tickets and sat on the alumni side--I think it was '96--and it was a tomb. Standing up and cheering typically brought odd looks. But I have yet to experience anything like that in the 4 or 5 games I've been able to attend at Apogee (I typically attend more away games than home). People try to be considerate of others, but everyone stands and hollers on 3rd down and similar situations. People jump up and cheer when something good happens. I know it's not like the student side frenzy, but I really think it's come a long, long way.

Wrestler mask kid is my kiddo. He loves it and can't get enough Mean Green. He was fan of the game for the Nicholls game. What the hell were we supposed to do with 15 free car washes? Gave 'em to the fire fighters on the way out.

Section 106 rocks. I don't pay that much attention to what is going on behind us, but it seems like the first several rows in our section are pretty vocal on good plays and defense.
