Gonna be in Hampton Roads for the weekend....anyone in the area that wants to meet up let me know.

I'll be in a rent house just north of Kitty Hawk (Duck, NC). I'm assuming the house will have the Big 10 network ... they usually do.

Yeah! I got BTN on ch 1650 HD on AT&T cable in Keller. I hope they update the guide schedule. Today it shows no North Texas vs Indiana game yet.

UPDATE: today Tuesday 9/23 the guide now shows "North Texas Mean Green at Indians" at 1:30 pm

What kind of "game descriptions" is everbody getting in their guides this year?

I've got FIOS and all of the program descriptions look like they were written by some creative writing major. Oh, and maybe after 10 seconds of reading, you can figure out who's playing.

Just wondering if there's a national service that's used or if this is all Verizon's doing.

I will be in Norfolk until Sunday then heading to Corolla (also renting a house) which should be where you will be. Problem is we are just 1 day off from throwing a watching party!

I actually might be able to swing a work trip to the Chicago area into a weekend visit to bloomington (fingers crossed)

My mom should be in town watching the game with us. She taught at IU and UNT and now teaches at MU (who IU just beat). So, I really don't know who she will be rooting for. I just know who I will be rooting for and that I can't wait for the game!

Got FiOS too and it's pretty annoying. Description can be like "The Bears look to improve on their 2-0 record, travelling all the way to meet the Huskies in this hotly anticipated match-up." And it ends up being Central Arkansas at Houston Baptist.

      That is very subjective. Boise State or UNLV probably will get the G5 spot in the playoff over a one loss Army team. Louisville, SMU, Houston, Rutgers and Cincinnati left conference for greener pastures. So I don’t know who anointed the AAC as 5th, but the playoff committee isn’t listening to them. Army, a team brand new to the conference that came into the conference and dominated. They were independent juggernauts last year at 6-6 🙄. AAC is viewed as better than the MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt. But we certainly won’t be viewed as better than the reconstructed PAC 12 and right now it doesn’t look like we are viewed better than the current MWC.

      Football at The Dat next wrekend

      Don't if y'all know this or not.....but the last two years we've had Texas high school football games played in Louisiana. Both years the games have been at Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches. As a matter of fact, this year they hosted two games on the same day. (Daingerfield versus Newton, and Texarkana versus Port Neches Grove). Both games were last Friday.
