Yes. Nothing to do with how they show up, it's that I tend to hit my data cap about two days before the end of each month, and it's pretty expensive to upgrade to the next level. Start inundating the board with gifs and I'll hit that cap mid month.

Depending on the size of the gif. Most arent too bad, even though I've seen a few move pretty slow when they're first downloaded.

Everything is data. The only thing that doesn't affect data cap for me is streaming Spotify and/or Pandora because T-Mobile just did that as a promotion. Otherwise, everything, email, text, message boards. It's all data.
