Did he mention how is he going to rise money for our endowment?? Did he talk about the university plan for research expenditure?? how are we going to improve in that important part?? and why it has dropped from the last year??

What is the plan for our alumni association? and how is he going to get it going and make it larger than what it is??

How about our on campus roads/streets?? are they going to be bad forever?? or is he going to force the city of Denton somehow to fix it??

Great information...sort of a boring talk. He did mention he wants to become Tier 1 and has already formed teams with VP's heading them with a feasable plan...first time in while action has really been taken in this direction. He also said the physical appearence and overall perception of UNT is one he would like to improve. So, no longer should we brag about being the 3rd largest school in Texas or just a good music school. We could simply say we are from UNT and people would know it is bad ass. Good stuff...

He addressed each of these points individually actually.

You should go rewatch it.

As far as endowments go, part of the first projects is going to be a dedicated facility for advancement/alumnis to increase the membership of the association, which is anemic right now. I think that may be part of the "community services complex" which will be built in the current Sack'n'save location. The complex's position right there as you come off 35 will be a great gateway to the university and should instill pride in UNT.

I know that I'm excited about the direction UNT is taking - I finally feel like the university is trying to press on and achieve greatness rather than keeping to the status quo.
