ESPN QB stats

I was looking at ESPN's qb stats just to see how bad our qb situation really is.

Of quarterbacks with at least 14 attempts per game(qualified), Josh Greer ranks dead last with a QBR of 68.7.

Dajon Williams only has 7 attempts in 2 games so he doesn't qualify but if he had, his QBR of 189.0 would be the 6th best in the nation.

The stats:

Josh Greer

48% completion pct ranks 120th out of 124 qualified

3.4 yards per attempt ranks 123rd out of 124

QBR of 68.7 ranks 124th out of 124

Andrew McNulty

36.4% completion pct

2.6 YPA

22.1 QBR

Dajon Williams

71.4% completion pct

14.0 YPA

189.0 QBR

I think the numbers speak for themselves. Our running backs are too good for our quarterbacks to be this bad.

You guys are getting carried away some numbers based on limited playing time. Don't expect DW to come in and be a all conference level QB, at least not this year. I do think he has the ability to be a slightly below average FBS QB, which is all this team needs to get to 6-7 wins.

Although I do agree that DW is our best option going forward, we do need to pump the brakes. I can easily see that he is worlds ahead of Greer in delivery, some mechanics, athleticism, and grit, but I feel like many of you look at him like this against opponents:

I want to watch him play, but the word of warning is not to jump off the bandwagon if he regresses every once in a while, or he doesn't live up to lofty 189 QBR in garbage time play.

I'm all in.

Me too.

At least 3 of them will be TD receptions as well.

I expect Dajon Williams to drop back on his first play from scrimmage and throw a beautiful deep ball to...

Dajon Williams for an 80 yard TD reception!!!

This will be followed by posts on GMG.com claiming that McNulty is still faster because of his 40 time.

This is what we all wanted, so it's time to buckle up and hang on. We've all seen the superior talent he possesses(McCarney said it and DW almost beat out DT last year) compared to the others. There will be growing pains, but i'm ready to move on and let thsi season ride out with DW at the helm.
