Lost last night to Div II Henderson St... Not another FCS DI school ( i.e Southland ) but a DII. Henderson plays in same conference with the likes of Arkansas Tech, Southern Arkansas etc

Also

Arkansas scored eight TDs on 20 plays in 1rst half vs. Nicholls St. UA had a 465-55 edge in total yards, and averaged 21.7 yards per carry.

Anything less than a 40 point win would be a disappointment. We can run all day long on them, but I would like to see us throw just about every down in 1st half.... We could use the practice

In my opinion, our only goal should be to come out of this game with a starting QB. If I were coach for a qame, I would play DW for 60 minutes and see what we really have. The next week is a bye, so we have time to make adjustments. Bottom line:what we are doing isn't working, and unless we get better play at QB we might as well write this season off. As it stands, I think we are looking at 5&7, maybe worse.

Greer has had plenty of time to show what he has/doesn't have. McNulty has shown what he has. It's time to see what our other options, such as DW, can do. We have to figure out a way to go at least 5-4 the rest of the way. On our current path, I don't see how we get 4 wins out of Indiana, Rice, FAU, UAB, USM, FIU, UTSA, UTEP.

It's not like we have to start slinging it around with DW in the lineup. Let him drive the bus. I doubt he gets more than 20 opportunities to throw, but let's see what he has. Neither Greer nor McNulty have shown any reason to expect that they will produce different results anytime soon.

Mac has the perfect scenario to insert DW into the lineup. Nobody will blame him at this point if for some reason DW does not work out. He can easily point to the first three games as proof that other options needed to be explored. Even if DW fails, it seems to be that Mac would be taking a bigger risk by keeping Greer in at this point.

Or does Mac use this game as an opportunity to let Greer air it out, have some success and gain confidence that can carry over into the rest of the season? I'm not saying, I'm just saying...

I'm fully expecting this to happen....

Then expect to win a max of 4 games this year.

As it should be. This game will tell us absolutely nothing about our team... regardless of who starts at QB.

Yes, I think we learned quite a bit against latech and need to respond accordingly. This is the ideal situation for UNT to install a few potential gamechangers....because we need a game change...
