Soccer loses in 2 OT

Nothing is going right. NT leading #15 OU with about a minute to go gives up tying goal. Then loses in 2nd OT 1-2. Should have won this one.

Absolute heartbreaker of a game for the ladies tonight. They played their hearts out against the #15 team in the nation, leading 1-0, only to have the evil hordes from the north score a tying goal in the last 34 seconds on a headed in corner kick.

Wonder if this means if UNT will receive more Top-25 votes. They already got one last week, and it's a shame they couldn't have made their case loud and clear by hanging on. But that's soccer for you; sometimes the best team doesn't always win and the really good teams find a way as long as there's time left on the clock.

Your first point is an interesting one. The one (1) top 25 vote we were receiving was almost certainly from Hedlund. We MAY get a few more, but a tie/win is what really would've pushed us up on the "others receiving votes" category.

As for us being the better team, I'm not so sure we were. It was very, very evenly matched and think a tie probably would have been the just result, however OU made one less mistake in the end. While we were undoubtedly in a position to win, I think they may just be a sliver better than us at this point in the season.
