All I need to know is in 4 total plays.

Greer had 2 plays against La Tech with wide open receivers and couldn't even get the ball close to them. On way play he had 2 wide open receivers within 5-10 yds of each other and he still managed to somehow throw it to the one spot that neither could get it. The other play was just a lame duck that was waaaay of track.

2 plays for Dajon were the perfectly placed pass to Caldwell along the sideline. You could not have had better placement. And then the zone read, any of the zone reads actually. It's just another weapon to try and keep the opposing D a little more honest in their play calling.

One person here already posted he heard through the locker room grapevine that Mac said Greer is the starter. :(

Baby Football Jesus is crying uncontrollably, somewhere.

Greer looks like a HS quarterback trying to play college football. I'll show up one way or the other, but if Mac is gonna stick with this train wreck of a quarterback, I'm changing my season prediction from 9-3 to 3-9. Good thing they sell beer now, because I can't watch this shit sober.

The season is a bust if Greer is the QB. I had high hopes for him but those hopes are long gone. Even if he improves it's just not enough.

Unless Greer wakes up in the morning and is suddenly as good as advertised or better, I'm worried about the season. Williams looks ready to go. Greer's had 12.5 quarters to prove himself and has failed to do so against a variety of defenses.

The verdict was in on that pass to Caldwell. Case closed. 9-0 decision. Unanimous decision.

Is this even a debate?

To Mac, probably not even a blip on his radar. He's more concerned with using plain or aloe vera infused toiletpaper than pulling Greer........

I guess coach Mac doesn't want to do his part to #fillapogee...

Josh Greer is currently averaging 3.42/yards per attempt. You simply cannot win football games with a number like that. Plain and simple. I say this with hesitation but I cannot fathom how it could be worse with Dajon Williams behind center. On top of that mind numbing statistic, you can see that the raw talent between the two is night & day difference. Williams looks natural and comfortable while Greer looks stiff and confused. Williams' ball is tight and cuts through the air while Greer's wobbles and floats at the speed of a toss from my 4 year old. When Greer gets out of the pocket, he's running so hard (yet so slowly) that he literally cannot gather to the throw the football, while Williams easily gets past the chasing defender. I had high expectations for Greer and I wholeheartedly expected this coaching staff to make the right decision. But after watching Williams for the first time last night, I have to say, they've gotten it wrong. Maybe Williams doesn't perform his best in practice and I get that, but give the kid a chance on Saturdays. This offense cannot (fingers crossed) be worse off with him playing quarterback. From what I can tell, our receivers look pretty good but they have not had a chance to prove anything yet. God help us if Greer trots out vs. Nicholls State to start the game.

Please don't insult these coaches, if you could do a better job, well, then you would be doing it.

That is an insane proposition. I'm not a plumber, but if I hire one and he hooks up my toilet to flush directly into my shower I shouldn't criticize him?

We pay a lot of money for a coach to win football games. We pay for it. Do you under stand now? He is providing a service. I may not know the exact details of how the servicing is done, but I know the results I want.

Up until now I have been very happy with this staff. Last year I though DW would be a better option for us, but the coaches had other ideas and because they were able to still deliver wins I didn't care. This year, making the same mistake looks like it will lead to a 8-9 loss season. Unacceptable.

Not an insult. It's criticism, well deserved criticism. 2011 was a losing record and OK, first year. 2012, losing record, OK 2nd year. 2013 9-4 with 4 wins over opponents that had a winning record. 4-4 against the winning teams on your schedule. 2014, so far a shit show. HoD was great, but it was against a pretty bad UNLV team. If our AD hangs on to this coach at the end of next year bc a win over UNLV, can him too.

Is chanting Dajon being a bad fan if Greer starts next Saturday????? Maybe one side yells Dajon and the other screams Williams??

Do you think coach Mac would accept a petition?

It might work. I was in the student section the year Woody Wilson transferred here. We all started chanting Woody and DD eventually out him in. I heard later on, people listening on the radio could here is all loud & clear. Did the Ol' Buick buckle under pressure from the students? Hard to tell, I guess.... :D

Coaching,

The only profession where you go from Hero to Zero in a matter of a game. Last week everyone singing praises, HOD Bowl win first in years, Praises, a miserable performance and you are the dumbest person on the planet. I wish more people could teach/coach for just a year and appreciate all the crap that goes into the profession, then maybe you wouldn't be so quick to throw the baby out with the bath water. Could our offensive system improve? Sure. Could the play calling get better? Probably, but this same system took a national power Georgia Bulldogs to the wood shed for 3 quarters... I will take a chance to win every game, but thats just me.
