Where do we go from here?

DW moved to starter? Adjustments on defense? Move Lemon back to guard? Open up the play book more?

Give me your moves to get us back to respectability this season. Something has to change.

QB play. That's what must change. If we can get a QB in there who can make plays (similar to the QB we saw last night), we'll be just fine.

Who is that guy? Don't know.

Is he on our roster right now? I really hope so.

We should stop giving free first downs via penalty when we are on defense.

We should stop getting long runs called back for holding.

We should hang onto the football.

We should find a QB that can do his job.

Our strengths need to play like it. the O-line has to do better. The defense needs to be smarter (penalties and blown coverages). We have to hang onto the football.

IF a new QB can help fix all of that then sweet, bring him on. Greer hasn't been good, but our problems last night were far deeper than one position.

This team doesn't look as good as last years team, missing a lot of senior experience. However, it is still good enough to get to bowl contention IF we get a QB who can at least be mediocre at moving the chains.

Great points. There are a lot of other things going wrong on the team with most of them directly pointing to inexperience. Last years team just didn't make many mistakes.

We #Hit30K because it's the only thing we, as fans, can control. I think we would have seen a much different Mean Green team than we did last nigh if it was a packed house. Unfortunately, I can already see the excuses coming as they have for every single game we have played. For this one, it'll be that we are playing a "no-name" opponent.

If only people would stop making excuses NOT to come and start making excuses as to why they cannot miss it.

Cerebus' plan is spot on. This season is not lost at this point, but we've gotten the wake up call to make the change now. You have to go all in now. DW's preparation for the rest of conference play should start against Nichols.

Oh so a packed house makes a QB not suck? Give it a rest dude

This. And last half of Cerebus statement.

And I would also add- "Get your head out of your ass and show up to play". What was their pre-game meal? Don't do that again. They literally looked like they were on Quaaludes.

You don't just go from "good team that's doing well on several things" to "we have the worst team in the world and now we need a new defense", too? I watched the new BEYOND THE GREEN right before I replayed last nights game today and they were two completely different teams. SO- CONSISTENCY. And that also speaks to the fact that we still have a young team that's still most definitely trying to figure out who it is going to be this year. Looks like we are in for a bumpy ride.

OHHHH! And if the football hits you in the hands and you don't catch it- THAT IS NOT ON THE QB.

When has Greer hit a receiver in the hands? The few times he has they have caught it. Otherwise hitting in the hands means throwing high and leaving the receiver out to dry. If I were a receiver I would not Greer as my QB for the simple fact he is going to get someone hurt! He almost got Carlos Harris hurt last game and did it multiple times against UT. He is just a terrible passer plain and simple. The truth hurts and may be offensive, but you know what the truth generally offends someone. That is why people do not like to hear the truth. Greer needs to take a seat and let Dajon take over. If he were a true leader he would bench himself before he gets Harris or Kidsy hurt. If/ when Dajon does not succeed maybe we give Greer a second look. Give Dajon a chance. He won't leave our recovers exposed.

Kudos to Canales for putting together a structure that allowed NT to get a big win over SMU without downfield accuracy. Kudos to Holtz for quickly dismantling that structure. If that gets sent out again and Nichols watches the LT game it could be an all time low. I don't know what attitude issue or what is keeping Dajon from starting, but unless he wants to sit for a team with a losing record it needs to get fixed.
