I actually agree with Malonish. I understand how we are insulted to think that little ol' UNT slobber knocked SMU is downright embarrassing when we know we bring more than that.

But, look at it this way... Getting their ass kicked by Baylor is understandable. They are the nations elite. Getting it by us... Well, neither UNT or SMU would expect that from the other's team. Honestly, we didn't really expect it to go THAT well. They got beat bad by a team that they were at the very least 'perceived' as equals to. They have pumped tons more money into their program than us and still got throttled. They claimed this game was meaningless and unimportant... Nothing special. They lost their starting QB and their head coach because of us. They literally have no hope and they haven't even played their third game. They got destroyed by us with a team that Jones said was his most athletic one yet.

Sure they might have even uglier losses. They will likely have a one win season. But they will be so because of our game. Because of us! We effing said we drink your milkshake! They did hit a new low and, rather than be insulted, I am more than elated that poor little us got to deal that blow.

The season may play out to show this game differently. But, right now... It is certainly a new low for them. And I get the giggles because of it. Let's kick back and watch us deal more season lows to other schools.

It's game day folks. SMU is in the past and no longer our concern. Look at it this way. The last time we beat SMU we had a two win season. Let's focus our hate beams on La Tech.

I might be alone in this, but part of me thinks the turnover alone in SMU will inspire them to play a lot better.

Something about JJ just hasn't sat well the last couple years. And the program looked drained.

I don't know if a cornered, starving dog is the apt analogy for what I'm saying about SMU, but it is in the back of my mind.

“I told them we’ve hit the bottom,” said Mason, in his seventh season as defensive coordinator until Jones resigned Monday citing personal issues. “You can’t get any lower than what happened last Saturday, so we’ve got nowhere to go but up."

What a moron, they have PLENTY lower to go. Their starting QB against UNT is out for the season and the backup was injured too. They host A$M next Saturday, that could be 80-0.

Follow that with TCU and at East Carolina. They have a LOT further to FALL this fall. icon_mrgreen.gif

Are you telling me there is so far no team that got its starting QB healthy out of a game against UNT?
