I have a co-worker that went to the game with her husband, both Tech grads. Shd said she would never go back because she was scared of the people around them. One of them looked at her, then her husband and said, " Are you scared? You should be." She said they were drunk older men similar to these in this moronic video.

Heck, I'm not going to stay home because I'm scared. The hardest exercise I get is running from my car to catch the 8:10 train to work, but I'm convinced I could outrun everybody I saw in that video. As long as we keep it John Schellecci style: footrace.

I spoke to friends who were at the game and they had similar stories as previous posts except they added racial elements. Townies from El Chuco tend to be that way. There are a ton of bigots out there. Ignorance is bliss. I wish we didn't have to play out there. Good thing they sell beer in the stadium to fuel that trashy mob. What an embarrassment. I feel bad for my friends still living there.

If you do go to the game out there this year expect fat drunken trash like the people in this video to try and show you and everyone else how "chingon" they are. I wouldn't recommend taking your kids either.

If I ever go to a road game in El Paso (which I really, really, really want to do), I'm simply going to set up a table and cater in Chico's Tacos. Instant peace offering. Then I'll wait for the indigestion to set in and incapacitate them; I'll then lower the pile driver and hammer. (Although after a nice basket of Campbell's tomato soup and shredded government cheese, I think they'll be driving out some piles of their own)

Realistically, I've spent so much time in El Paso, and I do love the city and the people I've met there so much, it never occurred to me that wearing opposing colors would put one in danger when roaming among certain locals.
