Did our defense and special teams bring the thunder?

Damn that was hard hitting, slobber knocking and punishing special team and defense coverage. I really love our hitting and tackling! Now as I write this my house is shaking in the thunder. Is this a Mean Green Storm let loose on Dallas? More that one kind of storm I can't help but laugh with each rumble that SMU fan-base is blowing up.

Oh man do we have a place kicker now or what?

For a while, I was lamenting that out kickoffs weren't going through the goalposts like the did last year. Then a kind gentleman politely reminded me that touchbacks come out to the 25 now. I realized we're kicking off to the ten on purpose, and once realized, it was beautiful.

And yes. That kicker is a stud. I kept actually waiting for a miss because I've never been clear on a missed field goal if the other team takes over at the line of scrimmage or the spot of the kick, but it never happened. That many kick attempts in any prior year of my UNT fandom, I would surely have gotten an answer.

NFL is the spot of the kick and I think college is the same. Hopefully we'll never find out this year from our kicker.

I think that north wind had more to do with kick offs going to the 10.

When we kicked north to South, they were all,out of the end zone.

Also, there was one possession early on, maybe when we were up 3-0, when Mac had the opportunity to allow Moore to try a 52 yarder with the wind at his back, but he chose to punt and play field position. I wonder if he makes the same decision against La. Tech now that Moore has some confidence.
