SMU may be down but this is still the biggest win against SMU we have ever seen.

This is a great day for our program!! Let's enjoy this folks! GO MEAN GREEN!!

Homer, we ass stomped a glorified FCS team. We should have expected this outcome, any other would be a total disappointment.

Yes, but there is no way to know until we see the season play out.

There is a ver real chance that this game sets the tone for the season. Another big win over LA Tech would be huge for recruiting.

It defines one thing ... how bad SMU is and how far they have fallen.... It must really eat at their arrogant fans. They need to just just shut up... about everything... This year will get worse for them..Their attendance may be their players's parents and little more...

I think some of these statements about how bad SMU is may be premature. I know they're not where they were a few years ago. And I'll admit, they looked awful today; but let's give our boys some credit and consider that they might have had something to do with how bad they looked.

They are ahead of us in the state totem pole as far as recruiting goes. Hopefully we do this again next year, along with a successful season, and that may flip. Would certainly be good for us.

So true. As for the question, I'm not sure what the definition of a program defining win should be? If you had asked me two years ago could we beat SMU 43-6 in two years I would have thought you were crazy. But yesterday it looked easy. But that's a credit to the team and coaches, they went out and whipped them.

What is good about it is that people who don't really pay attention, which is most people, will go whoa.

Not any more than UT was a program-defining loss. We did what we needed to do -- what we had to do -- against a team in a tailspin to stay on track. Handle business against La Tech on Thursday and we're easily on our way to a 3-1 start with a road date in Indiana. If we can start 4-1, the program will have begun to define itself.

Which is a possibility, starting 4-1. Indiana struggled badly with Indiana State in week 1. They were idle week 2 and they play @ BGSU this Saturday. I am pretty sure they will struggle with BGSU as well.
