I would absolutely love to buy a real one, if you know of where there's one for sale. Especially if it had Coach Fry's autograph.

Disappointing. Wrong color makes it seem like a knock off or unofficial. I had the same disappointment when the Schutt version of the previous helmet came out with "North Texas" outlined in black, unlike the actual helmets.

It's a standard color shell they already have. I would imagine they're not going to make our color green until we sell enough units to justify their cost.

Did you have any luck? I went by the B&N bookstore yesterday and was told that they didn't have mini helmets. They directed me to the stadium team store, but they were sold out of the black one.

UPDATE: I just spoke with Vanessa, who is the supervisor at the stadium team store, and she informed me that they've ordered more of the black SOW mini helmets. They're currently waiting on the vendor to process the order, but she expects to have them again sometime in the near future.

Yeah after being transferred to 3 people I finally ordered the green from b&n.

If anyone's still looking for the black "Son of Worm" mini helmet, I found a few of them for sale on eBay. There were still four available at the time of this posting. If eBay's not your thing, then be sure to check with the stadium team store by the end of Spring Football Practice. Vanessa recently let me know that they are planning to receive another shipment just in time for the Green and White Game on April 18th.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but i found the newest black mini on ebay and there are more. It is a Schutt and it has all the mini eagles in the charcoal stripe.

I got one at Field of Dreams at Stonebriar Mall a couple of months ago. I also picked up the regular green SOW mini and they threw in the old green block letter North Texas for $5.
