Question: Who do you like Saturday, SMU or North Texas? And why, given that they are both coming in after getting smashed?

Sherrington: SMU would have been smashed even flatter if Petty had played more than a half. Even an injured Bryce Petty. But you're right, SMU had a much more difficult task to go in and play a Top 10 team in the unveiling of their beautiful new stadium. The difference Saturday will be that UNT has a better defense than SMU, and it'll show up at Apogee Stadium, also one of my favorite little football houses.

I guess he's referring to the couple of thousand angry smu fans who watched the game at home, because I sure didn't see much red in Waco last Sunday. With the proximity of Denton and their band showing up, maybe that will help them bring more than a few hundred.
