24 Hour Rule

Alright folks.

It's been 24 hours since the abomination happened. We have to get ready for SMU. We are now just spinning in our own ruts and turning on each other.

Can we all agree to delay the Hara-Kiri until after the SMU game? If get embarrassed then, I'll lead the swan dives off the top of Apogee.

Come on folks. Yesterday was a rough game, hell, I may not have fought through it in the most manly of manners:

But it's over. The hurting has stopped. Let be men (or strong women) and get back up and remember there are 11 more games this season at least.

Hear hear!

But... but...

I just want to dwell in the misery.

Agreed. Time to move on.

This week will present us all with opportunity to speak confidently of our coaching staff and players expressing faith that Saturday will demonstrate the fullfilment of coach Mac's tweet...

We need to be one of the most improved teams in college football this week.

The greatest impact we fans can make is to be unwavering in our support and help fill Apogee.

I just can't be comfortable in green unless I'm wallowing in self misery and inferiority complex. I've paid my money and earned my place among the gnashers and the renders. Speaking of gnashing and rending, does anyone know a good dentist tailor? I'm going to need some new teeth and textiles each and every week as we spiral down into the depths of retroactive Dodge hero worship and pine for the good ole days of 1-AA ball and Big West happytimes.

I think we should enact this rule for every game, and that goes on both sides of the W-L column. If we win, gloat, trash talk and express your joy all you want. If we lose, wallow in sorrow and shed a tear. At the end of it though, keep it to 24 hours and move on. This is one game in one season of college football. Our program will not be made or destroyed based on one game (especially a cupcake money game).

I'm all for unwavering support but I also want to see us improve as a program. We saw an excellent showing by our defense on Saturday against a superior opponent. Conversely we saw a very poor showing from our offense with your starting QB stating we were "unprepared" for certain aspects of their gameplan. Holding the coaches accountable and expecting better for this does not make one a bad fan.

The good news is they have a good chance to redeem this against SMU.

I am onboard with making our OC very accountable
