To the best of my memory it may have been Woody Wilson from the Darrell Dickey era. Unfortunately it was only for one game. However, on the bright side it was a big game as we beat SMU. On the downside, the rest of the season we didn't fare as well and Dickey lost his job.

Have we ever had a successful juco transfer at the QB position, and if so who was it and when did he play?

Vidal Carlin, 1965 (1723 yrds passing ) &1966.(1510 yrds passing).

1965, 3-7

1966, 8-2, MVC Champions

It helped his passing stats that in both years he was throwing mainly to the great John Love.

I can't remember what JC he transferred from.

My memory doesn't go back as far as Silver Eagle's does, so I am going to limit myself to the time since the return to 1A. My pick would be Mike Pruitt.

JUCO All American DT, All SBC, fast and athletic enough to be used at DE in certain situations and to be a FB when he played in the arena league.

ETA: Oops, missed the *QB* part.

This is easy... SENECA WALLACE.

I'll never forget the 5,000 threads about him during what I can only assume was his playing career here. Did we ever settle on who would carry on his proud tradition?

Hiram Gonzalez.

Jordan Case wasn't a Juco transfer but came here by way of Sul Ross. Had to wait his turn behind the great Ken Washington but he clearly comes to mind as the top transfer QB
