Congrats to punter Eric Keena, defensive end Andy Flusche and offensive lineman Michael Banogu who all earned scholarships this fall.

Flusche and Banogu were not a big surprise to me. I was surprised to see Keena.

I wouldnt jump to conclusions from the first depth chart. Lots of time to develop. I'm pretty sure he was singling out the guys that stood out in fall camp.

I highly doubt that all freshmen excluded from that comment are excluded from playing. He probably just named a few of the standouts who absolutely will play this year.

Flusche will count towards the 2015 class. I think Banogu will as well. I'm pretty sure last year was his first season with the team. Same with Keena. He was on the team last year, but I'm not sure about the season before.

If coach Mccarney is putting them on scholarship then they have earned it and are worth the spot in the class..

With as many unknowns as we have, I expect the 2 deep to fluctuate quite a bit from game 1 forward. And that's not even figuring in injuries.
