Updated info - online streaming options for UT game

Okay, so I wanted to test stuff out in advance to see how this would work. The Longhorn Network IS available through WatchESPN and ESPN3, and you have to log in with your cable service provider, this much we already knew.

HOWEVER: Even if your provider has an agreement with The Longhorn Network, IF it isn't available through them in your area, you will NOT be able to see LHN programming. For instance, it's available through Cox, but in Phoenix, only Dish and DirecTV have it, so even though my provider has an agreement to carry them, since they don't do so in my specific service area, my Cox online login does NOT give me access to it. Unfortunately they also don't have an app or other option that allows you to pay for just an online service (yet).

So what's up? Is there anybody who

1) is going to the game in Austin (and will therefore not be watching it on TV or online), and

2) has the network as part of their programming package that wants to lend me their login info just for that day? I don't see myself overly interested in their channel other than the one time we'll be on it so I'd have no interest in trying to hijack your cable account...promise....

It's too bad there are no services that provide VPN proxy routing so you can change what location you are coming from, especially one that provides a free trial so you don't even have to pay to watch one game. Oh wait there is.

Edited this post...after trying the link Cerebus posted, it took six different attempts via tech support to try to get it to work before we finally figured out that you can NOT use it for Longhorn Network, SEC Network, ESPNU, etc. Just wanted to let everybody know before you all waste your time with a long back-and-forth like I did before finding out it won't work anyway!
