In this episode we talk about - what else - the BIG Texas game which is only 16 days away now. We welcome special guest Ashton Campbell the creator, producer and director of the acclaimed Beyond the Green Series on Fox Southwest. We also bring in the mysterious Adman to talk about the big pre-UT game Austin party being held at his new bar and restaurant The Silo located right in the heart of Austin.

Thanks for getting g this into the iTunes feed so quickly.

Is it possible to bring the overall volume up a little? Maybe it's just me, but I have a ton of pod subscriptions and this one is the one I have to crank my system up full volume for, and voices are still barely there.

Yes we had some volume issue unfortunately and will be trying to fix them on the upcoming broadcasts... Our issue is always with the phone interviews. Last weeks with RV went great. This week not so good. If someone has some expertise in how we could better utilize our phone recording technology we would be open to suggestion..please send evan or me a PM.

It's not just you and it's not just this episode. I've had multiple issues with the wifey that have stemmed from me Bluetoothing the Barbershop podcast in the car and forgetting to turn the radio volume back down when done.

Not sure about your equipment, but you should run the whole episode through Levelator (link below) to even out the volume. Then run it through something like Audacity to bring up the volume.

Alternatively, you could run through a few filters in Audacity and leave Levelator out completely (not being updated anymore). Here's an example of what I did in a couple minutes with Audacity (noise removal, compressor, low pass filter, normalize). Listen to the first minute or so to hear the differences.

If you need help, I can always do all of this for free (or maybe a beer :beerhat: ).

Well done CE. Plus 1.

Question about all your witch like magic as it pertains to audio: Could a person run something like this say, in a bar setting, so that every song that is played is at the same level - automatically? I ask because there is much cool music from way back whose levels are vastly lower than more modern recorded music and so one moment your practically bending the needle and the next song is a whisper.

I think some programs like iTunes have an option to normalize audio. Wouldn't that do the trick?
