WR Turner Smiley 'showing up already' at UNT fall camp

DENTON — Turner Smiley has made a positive impression early in fall drills and is in position to compete for playing time this season, coach Dan McCarney said Thursday

“Turner is young, but is not brand new,” McCarney said. “He is showing up already. We like him. He is doing some really positive things.”

Nothing in fall practice is open to the public. Go and hang out outside the practice fence. You may get ran off, you may not.

This is great news about Smiley. Replacing Brelan and Darnell Smith is a top priority. Coming out of spring practice and the spring game, my vote for Darnell's replacement was Cameron Brown #87.
