I hope we pound UT into the ground! I want to see the UT fanbase lose their minds!

If we win, we should make a big stink about why we should have to split the revenue with teams that lose to us.

Patterson was a guest speaker at a local athletic club event a while back, and listening to him speak almost made me puke. From the split from the G5, to marketing longwhorn wear in places like China. Yes, he wants to set up a football game in China so he can expose whorn caps, shirts, etc., to a few billion people. Wants to sell the stuff over there. He represents all that is bad going on, or about to happen with college athletics.

I know the money is needed but the G5 should do everything possible not to play a P5 school unless –

Home-and-Home

Minimum 1.5 Million for a road game without a return game – increase fee based on programs

Would you say that if RV was making a killing for the Mean Green in Asia? I'm not being contentious. At least, that is not my intent. I can't say I would care.

There's nothing that says he can't do this, that he can't treat the AD as a business, marketing it across continental lines. It's all a game, and this guy endeavors to play the game as well as he can, make as much for the university as is possible. Personally, I'm not a fan of it. But the system allows for it. And if the system allows for it -- and we agree it isn't good for the sport -- bitching and moaning about Patteron is a waste of time/forest for the trees. The system needs to be changed. And that's above even Patterson's pay grade.

Another question: What is stopping UNT from doing the same thing?

I wish the NFL would just have a minor league like the MLB so college football could be more about pride in your school than making cash. It would be nice if college football were more like high school football in that regard.
