So this thread asks if we are the most important, the title of the article asks which is the toughest, and the body of the article asks which is the biggest. And I figure each of those has a different answer. Assuming OU is not an answer,

Most important? BYU. Placement on schedule ahead of a predicted loss against UCLA make it an important one and a gauge of program.

Toughest? Ok State. On road. Late fall. A place they always seem to have problems.

Biggest? UCLA. No question. Marquee matchup at Jerry's World.

Seems to me the next game on your schedule is your most important game...that is North Texas.

It's not completely unrealistic for their fans to think UNT is important . Sure the odds are heavily in favor of them winning... But, they got killed in their bowl game last year, lost their long time coach, hired a new coach. New coach dismisses some key players. Their fans could actually be VERY anxious about a proven UNT team as their first game. It's going to paint the picture of their new program. All the UT fans I know have shrugged the shoulders when I ask how their team is going to be this year.

I don't think we are the biggest game on their schedule. I do think that, being the first game, we are important for them to set a tone and play well. To think that there is no other game on their schedule that is more important is not accurate. I would think that they will want to put up good showings against Baylor and OSU moreso than us.
