I said I don't look at future schedules?

Daft? You do realize we are all supporting the same team here? Right? .......right?

2015 has been the cornerstone of your argument for a while now. We get it..... Nothing to be excited about that year. Not sure I will bother to make the drive in from Houston.

2015 and beyond. Don't forget 2012 with 5 hone games and the only OOC being an FCS. That will be 2015. And many in here said that would never happen again.

There is no reason we shouldn't be doing better.

90, since it seems so easy to schedule what you want and you obviously could do a,better job than RV and know everything involved with the scheduling process, why don't you offer your services to the AD? It is always seems easy when you are looking at a program from the outside whether it be scheduling or selecting a starting QB, but we never have all the facts that those in the position to make these decisions do.

It'll end when things change.

Or when you quit kicking the shit out of that dead horse.

Apogee was built because we needed to replace Fouts that should have been condemned andmto think RV had nothing to do withmit is just plain assinine.

Because it isn't my JOB and I don't get paid to do it.

But you never feel the need to hold anyone accountable, so I'm not surprised.

5 home games 2 of the first 5 years in Apogee? No problem for you. RV is still the greatest AD ever in your book.

Expectations should have changed when we got Apogee. We were told things would be different. They aren't.

That OK with you?

You have no idea what is "OK" with me and what isn't, but my Dad was a head coach and an AD on the collegiate level and I have somewhat of an understanding of what is involved with that position. At NT, the football coach reported to my Dad in one position he held while on staff. Things have never been done at NT like at other schools until recent years.

As someone else mentioned and you never acknowledge, the AD has a budget to balance. For years, the administration at NT kept the alumni away from the athletic program. TCU gets Ohio State at home because their alumni support the program thus making it financially possible. Frustratingly, we are not there yet.

That's why the question mark was there. I honestly wanted to know.

S.Alabama or any number of other examples are able to get it dove. Why can't we? You know I'm not comparing TCU, so don't even go there.

It's pretty simple. With where we are at there is no reason that we shouldn't have 6 home games a year with a marque opponent at home every 4 years.

You are right. Things used to be done differently. We also used to play in Fouts. We don't anymore, and haven't for 4 freaking years. Excuses need to end for a lot of things, including attendance. At some point, people need to be held accountable for doing their F'n job.

This isn't 2003, we don't play in Fouts, and I'm tired of the same old tired excuses being trotted out like they were on the Podcast.

Excuse after excuse after excuse. Just get it done.

If we could double or triple the membership of the MGC, then we would have the finances to take care of these issues. Many of these problems are tied to the lack of involvement and giving by the alumni. Of course, when the head of the club calls and you reply and leave a message then what do you expect. I have had a couple of issues with my membership that an alumni rep has stepped in to fix when the MGC employee does not. This should not be tolerated by the AD. Those things bother me much more because those are the basics for growing your membership that are not being done correctly.

I don't think we need hard facts and data to understand how TCU can get Ohio State at home for an OOC game. They are a P5 team that many bigger P5 schools are gonna want to schedule for a series like this because TCU has a national name and it provides Ohio State two winnable games and Texas exposure. It also keep OSU in compliance with the B1G wanting to have more high profile OOC games.

What I also don't think we need is hard facts or data to understand how ridiculous it is that G5 schools like ULL, ULM, South Alabama, Northern Illinois, and UAB can get scheduled home games with P5 schools or big names schools from the MWC while we cannot. That is the crux of UNT90s argument--he is exactly right, too.

I like the Army and SMU series, too. I just think they should be the #2 home game ever year for OOC, if at all possible. If you are selling Army as your top OOC game for season ticket holders, that's not that appealing. Does Army have a national following? Of course. Does SMU represent a local game that is cost effective? Yes, they do. I just think that both SMU and Army, though, will never create any buzz or a chance at national recognition for any wins we get over them. I realize a win over Kansas or Kentucky or Indiana don't, either, but those schools have alumni who want to see their school play here in the area. But get a home game here against the three teams that I think are possible and you could get that national recognition--think old Big 12 like Nebraska, Mizzou, or Colorado. Talk to T. Boone about giving OSU a game here in the Metroplex every year with us and TCU, just like all the other schools in the southern part of the Big 12 gets: Texas, OU, Tech, and Baylor. That not even counting the teams that OSU also recruits against that also play in the Metroplex every year, Arky and A&M. Seems doable to me...

Or we can just be content with home games against SMU or Army each year going forward in OOC, with the other game being Idaho, Texas Southern, or Nicholls State. Either way, RV is gonna be the AD here for decades to come...
