6'3" 200 lb receiver from Southlake Carroll. Holds offers from us and Louisiana Tech, per EJ Holland. Can't find any highlights, or much info, currently.

At a school like Southlake it wouldn't surprise me if this is going to be his first season on varsity. Also, take the height and weight listing with a grain of salt. Usually younger kids' listed measurables are what they expect they will be when they're graduating, rather than what they actually are. But I'm sure he is a good-sized receiver. Also runs track and plays baseball.

Update on Farrar. Had 29 catches for 554 yards and 3 scores as a junior. He now holds offers from Iowa, Purdue, and Texas State, in addition to the offers he held before the year from us and Louisiana Tech.

Related note; this is why I'm not a big fan of recruiting the metroplex powerhouse schools. The exposure at those schools is so high that, for example, you can have decent numbers like Farrar had and that's good enough to get multiple P5 offers already by February of your Junior year. It's also why I love East Texas. Could you imagine Jeffery Wilson or Tee Goree's offer lists if they would've been playing for teams like Southlake Carroll or Allen? As it were, they had good offer lists. Very good, in the case of Tee Goree. But those kids at the metroplex powers get so much exposure that what you see on their offer list is usually what you get. If they're worth getting then they'll very likely have options.

I'm not opposed to recruiting over here and at the metroplex powers. Especially if we can win these types of recruiting battles. And with more frequency.

But as long as we're in CUSA, we have to take advantage of kids flying under the radar. And that just doesn't happen at these schools. We saw that with Cody Wheeler, once he had a full season of starting for colleges to see him. Anyways, just a discussion point in a slow time for recruiting.
