So Carlos Ortiz is playing the Utah open this week, and made the cut. At -7 he is 6 shots behind after 2 days, and tied for 24th.

Remember that a win would get this UNT alumn automatically promoted to the PGA tour this year.

if he doesn win another one this year, he will be going there next year anyway.

at minus 9 after day 3, now 10 behind the lead and tied for 28th.

He finished last week at tied for 29th.

This week he is tied for 8th after the first two rounds. at minus 10, 5 shots behind the lead.

Had a realy bad 3rd day with a plus 2 and dropped out of contention
