Who does our cleats?

Nike, they have been basic or off the shelf Nike models with our colors.

I remember when we wore Under Armour gear during the Dodge days and UA made some really sharp cleats for us one year. The sole was green with a white eagle, looked really cool on TV when we played Georgia.

How on earth does this previous post get a -1. The year we used those cleats, we had numerous foot/ankle problems. The cleats were designed in a way that allowed for a high ankle-roll probability. Why do I know this??? because I have the very same ones.

Yup. I remember looking at photo where, first game of the season everyone was wearing the UA cleats with the SOW on the bottom, and by the last game half the team was wearing black and white off the shelf Nikes or Reeboks. THAT was pretty telling.

So back in the bowl days when we had New Balance as our uniform sponsor, did NB make football cleats? I never noticed back then.

They had to go to Nikes and Reeboks because the UA cleats wore very quickly. Same for their workout shoes.
