Why the he'll is Quattro getting paid so much compared to others?!

I am sure it has to do with the tenure/coaching experience factor. figures go down the line with positions and experience from top to bottom.

When he was first hired, he had some additional title like associate head coach. Or something like that. I think the title's been dropped, but the better pay level hasn't.

So the only coach whose program has won every year he's coached for 20 years is making only as much as a first year Football assistant? You're right Hedlund wishes he was second-year football coach rather than a 20-year soccer coach.

poor Hedlund.

70k for a more than proven lifelong winner?

and that is a big raise?

If SMU comes and puts 90k on the table he could never say no, could he? Too much of a difference in living standards.

The others seem all about right to me.

I have an easy fix. Give him Benford's job too.

Soccer players are great defenders in basketball due to the similarity in defensive footwork.

Make Hedlund head BB coach and I bet we would give up at least 5 PPG less. Lol

I would be surprised if any bigger school would come get Hedlund. SMU isn't interested in a UNT coach who wins games but really nothing big. They think bigger and bring in coaches that have National Coach of the Year honors and a national championship.

Hedlund's coaching personnel choice, tactics, and in-game philosophy drives me crazy. And, it is the kind of style that will never do well for big games-hence why he has never won a single tournament game. We have a hotbed for soccer players in the big city areas of Texas. So we get talent.... the possibilities of what we could actually do with it are far greater than what we really do with it. That is my HSO.

I must add though that Hedlund has done good with his record.... obviously. I am not calling for a resignation or anything. We could have it much worse and I like being always at the top of our conference. But, given what we pay him and his results, I think it is all fine and his pay is adequate.
