I frankly don't think the league being better is a valid excuse in basketball. Other new teams didn't seem to have any big problem.

The same with the other sports; NT's track and field was just a lot worse, same for golf. Volleyball was a big disappointment with the team they had returning.

Tennis competition was a lot tougher and it showed. Swimming and diving in CUSA was stronger, but NT was also significantly down as the new coach didn't keep up the momentum.

Anyone else think that if football had a bad year that we also be hearing about the big jump in competition. Same for softball.

Yeah I'm not too high on the big jump in competition comment but let's be honest --- it is effective in buying you some time. Both basketball teams need to win big this season in my mind and NOT just Benford. Coach Pete needs to produce as well. I don't get why Coach Pete gets a pass and Benford gets all the heat.

He's starting to get some heat. But let's be honest. Compare what he inherited to what Benford inherited. Yes, Karen Aston was moving things in the right direction, but you almost have to look at him as taking over from the Shanice Stephens era. Regardless, he deserves to have a very warm seat this year. Benford's just needs to be hotter.

Yep, one took over a program only a year removed from Shanice, the other is Shanice in a suit.

Assuming we get tickets again I'll be happy to have you join us in the first row to hold it.

No thanks. Not gonna waste the gas money or invest the time.

If RV and UNT don't care, why should I?
