Fair except for the part that already assumes we will lose against UT.

That's a fair assumption. Anyone that isn't a UNT fan assumes this will happen.

Top players addendum in case you missed it: http://cfn.scout.com/2/1417452.html

There are too many good players that return from this bowl winning team to predict a huge step back. The bottom line is will a QB step up and be able to complete the short to mid range passing game? If so we will have a nice year, if not we are in trouble. The wildcard to me is will the QB be able to threaten the opposing defense with the ability to run (something DT was unable to do) and will a couple of defensive linemen (Orr, Dilonga, Watson etc) step up and be adequate run stoppers and plug the gaps to allow the linebackers to make plays?

DL is just as important to find a positive solution for as the QB position.

I think we will be OK at linebacker, even though Zack Orr will be missed.

Find positive answers to those 2 questions, and we are looking at a bowl season. Find negative answers?...

DT couldn't run- we saw raw speed in that 25 yard TD run in the Ball St game, or was I dreaming?

Had some great runs in the HOD Bowl too.

He dropped some weight for the 2013 season and was a pretty good runner then, but his reputation as a statue was well earned by then and hard to shake.

Ball St run was great. He was still a statue. A lot of that may have been contributed to the system he was in, but still a statue.

A statue that rushed for 72 yards in that game, falling only 7 yards behind NT's leading rusher in that game, Brandin Byrd.
