Was that the rotors sometimes seen in the upper right and left of many shots ? I was surprised there were no shots of Discovery Park or of the Language Building/Art Building side of the campus.

it's produced by the UNT Union channel... It's supposed to highlight the new building... not sure why there were so many shots of Apogee, but I am

not complaining at all

I'll be the first to nitpick...would have been cooler if 90% of the video wasn't just focused on Apogee, Admin building and the mall. There are a lot of other buildings on campus that would have been nice to see. Plus, going into slow motion almost every shot got a little old.

Still a very sweet video.

Great raw video, but this video doesn't really tell me anything. If I was a stranger to UNT I wouldn't know what the message is to this video. Yes. The video footage is great. In 3 years this type of video will be the norm. We'll all be used to it. The slow motion didn't flow with the music choice either. Give me some graphics & narration to give me more information.

I am starting to feel old, I don't recognize a whole bunch of those buildings and I graduated in 06'...

Very cool video, not the norm at all right now... perhaps in 3 years it will be, then we will be soaring on eagles wings as pioneers of a new type of promo video...

Took my son to camp at UNT on Mon and it's really quite amazing. Lots of new students everywhere doing orientations etc.. I thought they were just updating the Union but it appears to be a major renovation. The amount of capital improvements that have occurred on the UNT campus over the past 10-15 years has to be some type of record...

I am glad you feel that way Harry, I hope i get the same feeling when i go visit. I just graduated, it was always a hassle to get to and from class with construction, gas leaks, and other random stuff. I am proud that I can call UNT my home from home. I just can't wait to see it all finished.

For those griping, this isn't a promo video of any kind.

It's the Union Media's "hey, we got a drone! we just figured out how to make it work! check this out!"

It's not official URCM material or production.

But on that front, the official Fall UNT commercial is coming along nicely. At least by stills I see from my friend who's the lead videographer of it.

Yeah, the Union construction isn't just a makeover, it's a significant overhaul. They also have been doing remodeling or small add-ons on 2 more buildings of which one was completed in March. The other is still ongoing. When all is said and done and the roads are put back into order the campus will genuinely be a beautiful campus.

It's been said several times on this board, but if they bought out Sac-n-save and tore it down to create an off the interstate "grand" entrance it would rival as a top25 campus in the country once all major construction is complete. It's an exciting time at North Texas. The growth of the university in every aspect is apparent and we are, IMO, a bonafide sleeping giant. There's something special brewing.

A. hopefully some of those roads are taken out all together, as per the original master plan. campus needs more green and pedestrian space.

B. You need to travel more.

Agree 100% on A. Less roads, more landscaping and tree lined pedestrian paths as per the master plan, The campus has been moving in this direction ever since I was there, during the late 90's. I think real progress has been made in this area but the more the better.
