Am I the only one who thinks there is some irony in the fact, that strong can't comment because he's is conducting a womens football clinic while his players get questioned for sexual assault?

This is correct. And they may never be because they may be innocent.

If that were the case, I do find it odd that this would be released to the media, though.

And 2 players being questioned could also mean that they are simply witnesses (at the sane party where the assault occurred, for instance).

This will be handled like all Longhorn legal issues, "in the family" which is code for leaning on the Austin and UT police until it's a "misunderstanding".

So, apparently, if sexual assault isn't ok at the bowl game doing it on campus is the next best thing.
