We have smart and creative students at UNT. They fill figure out a way to make Apogee intimidating, notwithstanding this dumb rule.

As long as they continue the trend from last year (read: showing up in large numbers) I won't worry about any of this. Now - on the alumni side - there is some work to be done, however, I am NOT worried about student turnout at this point

Just one $24,900 donation away...

I already said that if I can find 239 like minded folk I'm in for $100. I believe the total is actually $24,000, so we're only $23,900 away. How much can I put you down for? We'll make it contingent on the number of basketball wins. Oh...wait..

Phone interview with RV on this.

He seemed pretty defeated by the conference, and that they had to follow with the conference.

And this is actually a reduction from the previous rule, so it could have been worse.

Like I said, the harsher rule wasn't really enforced on our side last year.

Anyone remember the horns from the Worlid Cup in South Africa? The most annoying horns ever? Hand those out.

Fill those seats with 240 blow-up dolls, all wearing CUSA hats, holding signs that say, "Silent as directed."

Those blow up dolls wouldn't last beyond the first home game.

I'm convinced the reason ratings are up for the World Cup is because they've been banned.

I thinks it's a pretty common rule. The Big West had something like that

Good lord, by the time North Texas had joined the big west, that conference as a football conference was tumbleweed rolling around the withered remains of a skeleton of a ghost town. You'd think they would have done something, anything, to encourage attendance.

So, I give a $100 donation and a student gets the seat? Is that right?

Anyway we can turn this into something cool? Like, make the kids try out for these 240 seats every year? Give them a jersey and a spot as the rowdiest UNT fans alive?

Or, are no students allowed in those seats no matter what we do?

Too bad we don't have a rich donor who could buy the tickets and then hold tryouts. We could do it at the tailgate first game.
