Running back Marcus Ward transferred from North Texas to Texas Lutheran this off-season to get more playing time — another reason why the DIII model can become attractive to DI-caliber players.

“We double the U.S. average for starting salaries out of college ($46,000-47,000 for Trinity grads compared to $24,000-25,000 for other schools’ grads).”

Not sure exactly what he means by "other schools’ grads," but if that is an accurate average, I can certainly understand why graduates are having trouble paying back their student loans these days. Earning maybe 12 bucks an hour doesn't take you too far. Especially in a high cost area.

I'm looking at the roster that was handed out at the spring game. No mention of Mr. Ward on it.

Of course, there was also no mention of #74 who got into the game. So he remains a mystery.

I guess it was Mr. Ward's bad luck to try to walk-on to a position that could turn out (If everyone shows up healthy in the fall) to be the deepest in the history of our program............ B)
