Can anyone verify the Chett Munden commitment to North Texas?

Huge pick up for the Mean Green if the commitment is good!

I read the staff wanted 2 interior line men, and 3 OT's for the 2015 class.

Munden would be OT number 1 of 3 ?

Well it seems as if UNT is on a roll. Abdul Beecham was working hard to convince Chet to commit to UNT. Abdul and Chet hit it off very well at Friday Night Lights. Hopefully they play on the same side and dominate. Congats Chet from the Beecham Family and the UNT Family. Others that are considering UNT had better get on board I see a very bright future for the Mean Green!!!

Have him bring Creighton Barr on home now!!

FROM his JUNIOR YEAR:

I have to agree with you ESPN, don't forget Chet Munden was weighed at A&M camp a couple of weeks ago 6'5"- 300lbs and is also a junior. Coach Sharr has done a great job with the D-line in a short time. The whole team will be in great condition as there has been a solid turn out for strength & conditioning this summer. Don't judge the Mavs by their 1st five games but see how we are in the last five before the playoffs start, should be a playoff team.

The first thing you notice about Chett Munden is his frame, so when I saw him going through testing at Sunday's ETSN.fm/APEC East Texas Football Recruiting Combine in Tyler, one of the first thing I asked combine staff was Munden's official height and weight in socks.

The answer: 6-foot-6, 303 pounds.

“There’s no doubt,” Harper said. “The Division I schools are kind of how you look at where you’re program is at. When you have four or five DI guys running around the field, it makes you a whole lot better football coach and improves the quality of your team as a whole.”

The UNT coaching staff made Munden feel wanted, which was a major selling point to him.

“They were really nice. Coach (Mike) Simmonds, he’s the offensive line coach and I really like him. They were the only ones who came through here in the spring that really wanted me. All the other coaches were kind of iffy, so I wasn’t even going to worry about it.”

Last season saw UNT finish the season with an overall record of 9-4 and 6-2 in conference play and went on to beat UNLV 36-14 in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
