No, not so sure. The new(er) PAC with partial expansion (they still need another football program) has NO media deal yet.
The AAC gets $82mil/yr until 2031 and mainstream ESPN exposure.
Let's compare apples to apples...media exposure and revenue when the PAC gets some estimates.
I think he's made some positive changes in a lot of key areas. The fall kickoff gala before football season was a great event. I believe season ticket sales are up across the board(?). The street basketball event was a lot of fun. I think he's handled 2 coaching hires pretty well.. I like Eric and think he's a good coach (but yes, this is a make a break year.. just how this goes). I LOVE Ross. Even though that was kind of a layup, Jared should get props for not overthinking and wanting to make a big splash on his first hire.
Football made some great strides this year in putting butts in seats. Win a couple more games that it looks even better. Yes, basketball is still behind in that regard but its not fair to ask someone to fix a couple decade long issue in 2 years. I've seen enough positives to give him the benefit of the doubt and give flexibility to things here or there that may still need addressing.
SAC St. should eventually get an invite from either the MWC or PAC 7. The Montana and Dakota schools seem happy in 1AA and the cost to move up is high when you add the NCAA $5 million upgrade fee, $2 million entry fee[ MWC] , 20 football scholarships, and stadium expansions to accommodate at least 25,000 fans. NDSU has a covered stadium that seats about 20,000 ( I didn't check the other 5 Dakota schools) so they might get a pass.
