Not sure if this has been mentioned but a big high school football game will be played at Apogee in August. I won't make any ... cracks ... about comparing Apogee to Allen's home stadium.

Maybe they will like what they see and come back....

Maybe some players too...

Cool. Denton citizens will finally step foot inside Apogee.

Have they cemented the deal? Is it set in stone?

I can see our promotions approach now.

The back cover of the game program will say "Please visit meangreensports.com for ticket information"

Seeing the dismal support that little "d" gives its local high schools, the marketing should be directed toward the Allen fans. It is the DISD that is blocking the building of the hotel/conference center by its failure to give tax reparations even though the county and city have already agreed to do so. Sort of like the building of Collins Stadium on Loop 288 rather than having a dual use stadium with Apogee and sharing the cost of construction. I hope UNT charges them a ton of rent for their use of Apogee. DISD has certainly done nothing to aid UNT and that includes coaches directing D-1 athletes to other universities rather than support the hometown university. Every time one of these leave for the so-called "bigger" schools I always root for them to be a bust. That would go double for Herrod @ UT.

You wish we'd shared a stadium with high schools? In Texas?
