Too bad it doesn't care about academics. I would be VERY leery of taking a kid from this "school."

I agree. Not that the kids aren't smart enough, but the school seems to be struggling to meet state standards and such. Plus, I don't think the kids there give us much thought. No info, just an impression I get.

Three-star Prime Prep WR James Proche announces commitment to SMU

Three-star wide receiver James Proche from Prime Prep Academy announced his commitment to SMU via Twitter on Wednesday night.

"Officially committed to SMU! #PonyUp," Proche wrote on his personal account. "I'd like to thank Coach O Recruiting, Deion Sanders, and all of Prime Prep for all the support and putting me in the position I am today!"

At 6-foot and 185 pounds, Proche is rated as a three-star by Scout.com and the 52nd best receiver in the class of 2015.

Proche is at Desoto HS. A handful of other guys they could have stopped by to see as well. OSU's running back (Dontre Wilson) is a Desoto Eagle so the relationship is there. Proche was not able to play until about a week ago. (injury)

Nevertheless, Proche is probably the highest-rated senior they have, including Bryce English (UCLA), Kevin Thomas (Kansas, for now), and Jatory Sparks-Brown (SDSU).

Ohio State has already offered their junior QB, Tristen Wallace, but it wouldn't be surprising if OSU caught up with Proche while they were there, especially with him being an SMU commit and the turmoil going on there.
