In town talent is always a nice thing to have. Particularly if a pipeline is setup. Brings a true sense of cohesiveness to the college game rather than a brainwashed make believe one, which is a very positive thing.

Huh?

So, if college players are teammates in HS, then their cohesiveness is the result of being brainwashed? Sorry, I find this extremely farfetched as a reason for recruiting teammates.

No, if they aren't high school teammates is what I was saying. Then the cohesiveness built (at some schools, particularly football factories) don't have that HS bond and it's made up rah, rah, rah, by the coaching staff in college.

Denton is a town that produces some excellent football talent. However, I don't see any advantage of bringing in border line players just because they are from Denton.

NT should concentrate on getting the best players available and I don't care if they are from Albania or Denton.

Whoa, whoa. I never said bring in borderline talent. If they have the talent to play at the FBS level hone in on them and do whatever it takes to bring them here. I never said borderline talent.

I meant to type "are not." Anyway, I disagree that it requires being HS teammates to form a bond in college, or that the bond formed in college is fake.
