Has anyone looked at their schedule? And they get that stud QB back. I don't see a game they won't be favored in! And they get Rice, Muts and WKU at home!

I honestly don't think they will lose one of the first 12. I just also think, that with this totally cackey OOC schedule they will get shafted in the race for the access bowl, no matter whether they win all 12 or not. Oh... and that championship game, that might be the tough enough to knock em of.

FAU will be a thought out as well.

tough out?

Interesting that they went undefeated back in 1999 when Chad Pennington was the QB.

And then they got sanctioned for illegal employment of players, academic fraud (providing exams to players), and of course lack of institutional control. They also had to stop recruiting non-qualifiers since they were illegally employing non-qualifiers.

That and moving to a CUSA better than the MAC was the end of that era of glory for Marshall.

Reading this thread, I can't help but think of our local hs head coach, Steve Lineweaver, when I saw him at the local Home Depot shortly before the season started a couple of years ago. The conversation was about what kind of season our Trojans would have. He said, "it's such a rough old game, a lot depends on injuries". I really thought Georgia was going to have a great year last season, even when we hung with them well into the second half, but we all saw the effect having key players out with injuries had on them. And this is not to look forward to players getting injured, just to say that it's one of numerous possible reasons that going undefeated may be tougher than it looks on paper. Also, I have a hard time thinking some of the teams that were down last year won't improve this year, especially the Florida teams, USM, and a Rice team that looked pretty darn good at times last year.

Well, I guess we'll be playing them up there unless we can go undefeated as well. Then maybe our Ooc/SoS will get us to host the championship game.

UT > Miami

SMU > OH ?

Nichols == RI ?

IU < Akron ?

IU > Akron

SMU is a huge game for the confidence of our team. Really need a win.
