6'1" 175 lb receiver from Garland. Had about 675 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns last year. Also holds offers from Iowa and Texas Tech.

Does anyone else see a picture of a north texas player at the top of his hudl page? The players hand is obstructing the number, but I think it's 80 (Darnell smith)...who happens to be a south garland alum as well.

Wow, good catch. I definitely missed that. That'd be a nice ace up our sleeve with this kid. Solid talent.

Also, I wasn't sure how many receivers we would take this year after signing 4 last year. Not to mention Willy Ivery, who could see some time split out wide, and potentially Caleb Chumley who could play a receiver/tight end hybrid in the future.

The coaches told the kids at the first junior day that we would be taking 4 receivers this class. Sounds like that really may be their plan.

Go tour Lubbock and let me know...

Gotta agree Ben. I was accepted to Tech but Lubbock could not sell me. Ugliest city in Texas

Agree too.

Went out there excited... left unimpressed.

Maybe my previous visit to Denton set the standard & poor Lubbock could not measure up.

Having Ivan Delgado followed up by Darnell was an awesome addition to our WR corps. Both were great possession receivers that I wish we had for longer than 1 yr a piece (of being utilized). If he has a portion of the talent Darnell had he would be an awesome addition to any team

      That is very subjective. Boise State or UNLV probably will get the G5 spot in the playoff over a one loss Army team. Louisville, SMU, Houston, Rutgers and Cincinnati left conference for greener pastures. So I don’t know who anointed the AAC as 5th, but the playoff committee isn’t listening to them. Army, a team brand new to the conference that came into the conference and dominated. They were independent juggernauts last year at 6-6 🙄. AAC is viewed as better than the MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt. But we certainly won’t be viewed as better than the reconstructed PAC 12 and right now it doesn’t look like we are viewed better than the current MWC.

      Football at The Dat next wrekend

      Don't if y'all know this or not.....but the last two years we've had Texas high school football games played in Louisiana. Both years the games have been at Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches. As a matter of fact, this year they hosted two games on the same day. (Daingerfield versus Newton, and Texarkana versus Port Neches Grove). Both games were last Friday.
