6'9" and 290 and averaged 6 boards a game in JC ball.

But look at the powerhouse SWAC/Southland schools who have shown an interest in him, these are the schools we should hope to be peers with one day.

Ya, a list of schools that didn't offer. Benford better be talking to this kid about walking on and nothing more.

Man the constant slam of new prospects from the anti-Benford party is really getting old..

Can I be allowed to say that I like the kids size? And would we not all agree that this is a pretty good league that he is playing in?

6 Boards a game would be just what the doctor ordered compared to what we had the past season no?

Any guy we get I'll be happy and hopeful for. But, it's hard for me to ever get too excited about a player until he steps on the floor of the Super Pit in 6.5 months and we see what he can actually do.

That's 6 boards a game in JUCO. Also, being as wide as he is, that should help eat up space on the inside, yet the 6 boards per game sticks out.

I don't want to criticize every recruit, but when go from recruiting this:

To recruits with no other D1 offers (not FBS but D1), what do you expect to be said?

I hope all these kids come in here, prove everyone wrong, and lead us to NCAA glory, but at some point you have to question the direction of the program.

Don't you? Doesn't anyone?

My only issue is it forces me to change my NCAA 2010 roster. And I have to make a lot of moves because you cannot change the grade of a player in the game. So I keep having to shift them around and rename/create them...

Seeing as 2K will allow you to make these changes that NCAA 2010 will not, and that Tony Benford is our coach; looks like you purchased the wrong college basketball game.

2k..? When was the last time they made a 2k game. I have the most recent basketball game made. I use 2k for the nba but 2010 was the last game made and was the most up to date. It plays really well. Just cannot change the class of the student athletes idk why..

Look at the bright side. If we don't sign him we'll get the opportunity to see him play when one of Benford's powerhouse OOC opponents comes to Denton.

No, not unless they offer him. As they have yet to at this point.

However, if we do get him, he can play with a chip on his shoulder knowing that they passed on him.

Watched 1st half...

initial impressions ---

Needs to lose a little weight. Seems winded. Decent defender in the paint. Not a very good rebounder in my opinion.. he just doesn't seem to have that nose for or desire to go get the ball.

Not very good at getting open in the post. Once he gets the ball however, he is a good to very good passer.

I'm not sure that he is what this team needs but again this is based on watching one half of one game.

I would prefer a more athletic rebounder. To me it is what this team needs more than just about anything right now.

Honestly not trying to be a contentious ass, but...did you also like Coleman, Flannigan and Gaines' size last year? I guess if this kid is coming in and replacing one of them...I mean, he can't be worse, right?

Right?

Also...damn, I really feel bad for Colin Voss. He'd be 12/8 guy with even a decent semblance of a 5 next to him.

Man, nothing insightful from you. Ever.
