The "American Flag Eagle" is a must for that game. The Eagle is our National Bird.

I want a helmet featuring a red, white and blue eagle eating apple pie while holding the Statue of Liberty's torch in his talons.

The good - National TV.

The bad - a Thursday night game. Gonna have to take off work.

i'm down with that...i'll be doing a half day thursday...all friday...

Both teams play the weekend before as well.

LATech will be on their 3rd straight road game (LA-La the weekend before). This will be a good thing! Hopefully we're the only game on that night, but I doubt it.

Wait a second. Tech is playing LaLa at LaLa? Thought they hated them so.

i don't care how you slice it... 3 games in 13 days is a ROUGH schedule... especially when those games are in August/September... in Texas

heres hoping that Wintrich has them ready for this type of beginning

Could just take the cash that would've been spent for the helmets and donate that to a vet's organization. Or, set up the helmets in silver with stars on green, then auction the helmets off and (of course) send the money to a vet's organization. Anything but a hard to read black on a darker green.

Thursday night games are good for the student body, not so much alums and casual fans. Students will show up in force though, gotta win 1 of the first 2 though.

Good point about the students. Hopefully bowl success and good marketing will bring them out.

Great news.

If we're going to have a Thursday home game, riding the momentum of a big SMU victory will sure help.

Plus, moving the game from 9/13 removes the conflict with the Texas v. UCLA game in Arlington. We on the board don't have conflict with any other games on the calendar but too many casual fans will use other CFB games are reason to not be in Apogee.
