I've noticed that some of the players have two black stripes on their helmets, others have one solid white stripe, and some dont have any stripes and just have the solid green helmet. Does any one know the meaning behind these?

Thanks and Go Mean Green!!

I know they have to "earn the right" to have their two black stripes removed. So those with no stripes have earned that right. I'm not sure what the deal is with the solid white stripe--as BG indicated, that might be something particular to upperclassmen.

The white stripe is only on the QB's helmets. It lets Chico better observe where the QB is looking.
